Exciting news for Boy Scouts
The Boy Scouts of America has a new merit
badge, a SCUBA Diving one!
That is great news. We will be offering SCUBA
Diving classes especially for the Boy Scouts.
A couple of options are available.
1. Do all the classwork and confined water training here at
Salty Dog Dive Center in our own
heated salt water pool, then go to Dutch Springs
for the open water portion.
2. Or, camp out at Dutch Springs and we can do the classroom
work, the confined water training and the open water training all in the
same week!
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday we will do the academics and confined
water training, then on Thursday and Friday we will do the 4 Open Water
dives required.
If you chose option #2, the scouts can earn other badges while camping.
There are plenty of other activities at Dutch Springs to fill your days
there.

So Scouts, check with your counselor see if your troupe would love to
learn to SCUBA dive.
Troupe leaders please contact us for more information on this exciting
opportunity. If you were looking for something to do this summer that

Salty Dog Dive Center's PADI Seal Team is fun, exciting, and new! It's designed for kids eight and older who are looking for a little something different. This program is built around action-packed Aqua Missions. The Seals offer adventure, education and diving in our heated pool. Supported by an action-packed DVD, manual & logbook Aqua Mission 1-5 teaches kids the basics of diving; things like buoyancy control, mask clearing, and regulator recovery.
